Morning walk, 2nd August 2012

FPI = nearly one. Had a sudden suspicion that dog was up to no good. Turned round, and there she was dipping the shoulder. Fortunately her aim was bad. I have a scale I use when getting the dog to do anything, the idea being that I start off quiet but firm, leaving mach 5 in reserve. With fox poo incidents, it's straight to mach 5.

Train a whistle recall and take bits of turkey with you. Guaranteed to interrupt any behaviour!

Good idea. I think she'd respond well to the whistle recall. Where it would fall down is in user error: I would probably forget to take the whistle. My reach-across-three-fields voice is always with me. I'll let you know how the training goes!
